
Jauhar Abraham
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As CEO, Mr. Abraham is responsible for supervision, strategic planning and program implementation of mission goals and objectives of the organization. Mr. Abraham was born and reared in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Ultimately graduating from High Point Senior High School in 1986. Immediately following graduation Mr. Abraham joined the Army serving this country for four years.
In 1991, Mr. Abraham was driven to co-found Unity for Prosperity. This business was focused on youth intervention through mentoring and entrepreneurship development. Since this venture was started in North Carolina , Mr. Abraham decided to work closer to home and moved back to the District after his discharge from the military.
Upon his discharge from the Army, Mr. Abraham began his first business venture, entitled Nibiru Entertainment. While developing his company he was able to travel throughout North America . Traveling enabled him to see first hand the state of affairs the rest African American urban population was in. Saddened by the hopelessness and materialistic values that our youth embraced Mr. Abraham used his position in the entertainment community to turn negative into positive.
In 1993 Mr. Abraham became instrumental in the community once again by becoming the Community Liaison and Intervention Specialist for the Take Charge Program. One of the most influential programs of its time. Achieving a success of ninety percent of its residents not re-entering the system. In 1995, Mr. Abraham joined Cease Fire Don't Smoke the Brothers and Sisters, later to be named spokesperson. In 1999, Mr. Abraham founded CASASTRIDE Aggressive Mentoring Program. In 2004, Mr. Abraham co-founded Peaceaholic, specifically for combating violence among youth and promoting peace. In this capacity his efforts have been recognized in the Washington Post by Columnists Courtland Milloy and the Mayor Anthony Williams personally thanked him in his State of the District Address.
Since the organization of CASASTRIDE Aggressive Mentoring, Mr. Abraham has recruited mentors to assist him in the mentorship process of at risk youth housed at the Oak Hill Detention Center as well as troubled youth in the public school system. Working diligently with the juvenile justice system to ensure each youth within his reach is given a chance to make a lifestyle change.
Ronald L. Moten
Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer (COO)
As the COO, Mr. Moten is responsible for day-to-day operations of the organization and is a member of the Board of Directors. He specializes in strategically engaging youth to better understand the importance of education, peace and economic empowerment with the goal of transforming at-risk youths into productive citizens in the Washington DC area. Mr. Moten also serves as an advocate for under-privileged youth in the community.
His professional exposure crosses both the Entertainment and Social Services sector. Mr. Moten has over 10 years of dedicated experience and on-the-job training working for community-based organizations, non-profits and government agencies. He was the CEO and founder of local entertainment company that conducted various collaborated efforts with community organization, educational institutions and government agencies to promote health conscious and violence free individuals.
